The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) has announced the passing of legendary music producer, songwriter, and founder of Slingbeats Entertainment, Chali “Bravo” Mulalami.
In a statement issued on Tuesday evening, ZAM Publicity Secretary and Spokesperson Edmond Mbanga Miti confirmed that Chali Bravo died after a short illness.
ZAM described the late producer as a visionary pioneer who played a critical role in shaping Zambia’s contemporary music sound. The association noted that beyond music production, Chali Bravo created timeless hits and was instrumental in mentoring, nurturing, and elevating numerous artists in the local music industry.
Throughout his career, he worked with a wide range of musicians, including CQ, Crystal Shaun, K’Millian, Tommy D, Mampi, Ty2, Namanje, Hamooba, General Ozzy, Kanji, Roberto, Bob Muli, Alice Chuma, Choklet, Humphrey, Cray Jay, Masi, and Khuzie, among many others.
ZAM stated that his legacy will continue to live on through the music that still resonates with fans across Zambia and beyond.
The association extended its deepest condolences to Chali Bravo’s family, friends, and the wider creative industry.
